The Consortium used Océ's help to introduce a new concept called TransPromo. The term ‘TransPromo' is an amalgamation of transaction documents (such as invoices and statements) and promotional documents (like direct mail) - it is the effective use of ‘white space' in must-read documents. This concept allowed The Consortium to combine resources spent winning new customers with the internal budget to produce documentation.

BAE Systems Surface Fleet Solutions
In 2006, the BAE Systems Surface Fleet Solutions document portal implementation team achieved the Chairman’s Super Bronze Award for Innovation. This was a result of substantial changes to their working practice and the installation of new equipment from Océ. The award is given to individuals and teams who have materially aided the company, through innovation, to improve its processes, practices, technologies and products to achieve the maximum benefit for customers, employees and key stakeholders. Commenting on the win, Drawing Services Manager at BAE Systems Surface Fleet Solutions Alex Carmichael said; “Our Super Bronze was very nearly Silver, but next year we will be going for gold!”
