South Tyneside Council printroom re-design results in expansion of services, and one third cost saving

Overview/Description: At IPEX, Simon identified that only two suppliers could meet the twin criteria defining South Tyneside's mono and colour requirements. In straightforward terms Simon expressed these as follows, "speed on mono is imperative", while "consistency on colour is paramount". Up to 90% of all the existing mono work undertaken requires an ultra fast turnaround, a good example being Committee Reports, consisting of between 50 to 500 duplex pages. Needless to say, according to Simon ‘the Océ VarioPrint 6160 eats this up!'
