Océ Awarded Exceptional Rating by BERTL

Venlo, The Netherlands / Trumbull, CT., November 9, 2007 – Océ, a global leader in digital document management technology and services, today announced one of its systems has been awarded an exceptional rating by BERTL. The accolade - for the Océ TDS700 large format monochrome mid-volume integrated print/copy/scan system - was awarded a “5-Star, Exceptional” rating. BERTL® is an independent, industry-leading source of product evaluation reports and comparative analyses.

Océ amongst the select few

Of the hundreds of digital imaging and production devices that BERTL evaluates every year, only a select few are recognized with this prestigious rating. These devices deliver an outstanding range of business-critical functions, are innovative and easy to use, and present exceptional return on investment.

Outstanding copy and print image quality

“We were extremely impressed with the outstanding copy and print image quality of the Océ TDS700,” said a BERTL analyst, ”as well as its excellent optional ability to scan in color. In its fully configured multifunctional version, it rivals any wide format system in its class. With the Océ TDS700, Océ has really come through with a rock-solid, very user-friendly device that is scalable to almost any workflow,” the analyst concluded.

Highly versatile multifunctional system

“This highly coveted rating from BERTL only reinforces the message that the Océ TDS700 is the most versatile large format print/copy/scan system available today,” said Sal Sheikh, Vice President, Marketing, Wide Format Printing division of Océ North America. “It also serves as a testament to Océ’s commitment to providing customers with flexible, innovative printing solutions designed to meet the most demanding large format document workflow needs.”

Exceptional output quality

The recently introduced Océ TDS700 is flexible enough to address a wide range of business environments. These range from corporate engineering workgroups to central reproduction departments and commercial reprographic service bureaus. The system handles up to nine, D-size prints per minute. It provides over 10,000 sq. ft. of uninterrupted printing capability, without the need to stop the system to load toner or paper. Its next-generation Radiant Fusing technology provides the fastest print time from a cold start in the industry. This eliminates warm up and waiting time. The 600x1200 dpi pico printing of the Océ TDS700 ensures exceptional output quality.

Simultaneous printing, copying and scanning

Moreover, the Océ TSD700 provides true concurrency for optimal productivity. Concurrency facilitates simultaneous printing, copying and scanning. Furthermore, its intuitive “smart” user interface makes work easier for end-users by guiding them through the system so they get their documents when they want them.

Ultra-efficient and environmentally friendly

These capabilities not only enhance productivity, they also help customers reach their overall sustainability goals. Low energy, heat and ozone emissions due to its Radiant Fusing process; reduced waste thanks to first-time-right printing; and the capability to use recycled paper mean the Océ TDS700 is both ultra-efficient and environmentally friendly without compromising quality.
