Océ and ICS announce key partnership to help manage office print costs

Brentwood, Essex  — 21 April 2009 —Océ (UK) Ltd, and ICS (Integrated Card Solutions Ltd), today announced they have signed a formal agreement to authorise Océ (UK) to market and sell the ICS range of card readers and network print management and photocopy control solutions in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Océ, an international leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, and ICS, the UK market leader in controlling, auditing and managing print and photocopy output, successfully worked together during 2008 on a cooperative basis to support integration into a number of existing Océ customer sites. During this time an integrated Océ and ICS solution was implemented in a number of Océ Office customer sites including the Central Science Laboratory, near York and Brighton & Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust.

The card reader solutions help organisations reduce operating costs and increase efficiency by overseeing and controlling print and copy output on a departmental or individual level. ICS also offers payment systems if required.

The new contract includes marketing the leading software application Pcounter Pro, a server based solution for intelligent photocopy and print control. This flexible system provides a wide range of cost recovery benefits and can measure the total print and copy volume across an entire organisation, and control the release of print jobs based on an agreed company wide print strategy.

Océ (UK) Managing Director Bron Curley said: “We are pleased to cement this partnership with ICS as there is great harmony between the markets that both companies serve. In addition, the positive reaction from our customers is a key indicator for future success. The ICS solution complements the Océ Office range and gives our customers an important insight into understanding their true print and copy costs. This is even more important at this time where cost control is paramount in every organisation.”

ICS Managing Director John Evans commented: “We are delighted to have formalised our partnership with Océ (UK). The combination of our market leading hardware and software control systems and Océ’s award winning product range is a winning situation for everyone.”

ICS benefit from Océ’s strong customer relationships within the office fleet market and the backing of an international leader in the digital print arena. Océ UK benefits from the opportunity to introduce a complementary cost control solution, already in use by more than 15,000 sites in the UK. Customers benefit from the customised and localised integration and high level of support from both companies. In other words “benefits” abound for all stakeholders.
