Océ Home of Color Technology Forum showcases innovations at work
Premium customer event bolsters Océ’s leading position in continuous feed production colour
Venlo, The Netherlands, 6 September 2010 – Océ, an international leader in digital document management and delivery, today announced the 4th Océ Home of Color event will take place from 21–24 September 2010 at the Océ Technology Hub in Poing, Germany. Now in its second year, the market-driven, invitation-only VIP event brings together production colour experts, trend-setting customers, opinion leaders and market innovators for educational sessions, technology demonstrations and high-end networking.
Océ Home of Color Technology Forum – a hub for dialogue
“Océ ink and toner technologies are helping accelerate the transition from offset to digital printing, providing significant business and profit potential for digital print operations,” said Sebastian Landesberger, Executive Vice President, Océ Production Printing. “Our guests will be inspired by technological printing innovation covering the entire business and process value chain in the high-volume production colour arena. They will also benefit from the latest workflow developments in fast growing business segments such as premium direct mail, TransPromo, digital book production and individualised newspaper printing. Being the No. 1 in continuous feed production colour, Océ will showcase new ways of taking the printing industry profitably into the future.”
In the focused workshops, market experts explain how to implement long-term printing solutions. Attendees benefit from in-depth sessions on choosing the right technology, whether it's toner or inkjet, including offset transition, the important role of substrates, colour management in high speed variable data environments, and the ROI potential of process optimisation from order entry to delivery.
Colour workflow tailored to business needs
Océ is known for its unique, integrated approach to production colour solutions that put professional colour printing in a new light. Océ colour workflows can be tailored to specific business needs, and as a result, they open the door to a multitude of profitable, sustainable ways to grow. At Océ Home of Color IV, participants will discuss with technology and business experts, leading finishing specialists and the many other business stakeholders driving the digital printing industry forward.
Business applications moving to full colour
Full colour digital printing has captured attention across the board. For marketers, full colour transaction documents and direct mail get greater attention and contribute to a more polished, professional image at an affordable cost. For end users, full colour documents like statements and marketing offers can be more interesting and informative to read. As full colour digital adoption ramps up, Océ continuous feed solutions have emerged among the top choices for reliable, versatile quality output. Delivering high productivity in combination with lower running costs, the Océ JetStream® family and Océ ColorStream® 10000 Flex printing system enable profitable production of highly individualised, high-impact communications.
The broadest continuous feed portfolio available
The Océ ColorStream 10000 Flex is the fastest toner-based, colour-capable continuous feed printer on the market, with up to 1,425 b/w and 168 full-colour images per minute. This highly flexible production system gives all the advantages of full-colour, but prints b/w at b/w prices and speeds. The Océ JetStream inkjet family consists of three distinct product lines based on common technology components such as the Océ DigiDot® drop-on-demand inkjet imaging technology and the SRA MP controller. The family ranges from 500 to 3,030 A4/min in full colour and offers 20.5" and 30" web width. The Océ JetStream family also incorporates inkjet MICR.. The Océ VarioStream® 7000/8000 line is the industry’s broadest b/w continuous feed family. It offers a wide range of speeds (180 to 1,414 A4/min), while also providing a full range of features such as CustomTone, MICR and simplex, duplex and triplex configurations.
The Océ VarioStream 7100 is Océ’s latest flash-fusing machine in the low to mid volume continuous feed segment. This entry level printer addresses corporate and commercial environments with monochrome simplex volumes of transaction, direct mail, product-flanking applications and applications on special media such as labels and service cards.
Leadership in the world of digital newspapers
During the Océ Home of Color IV, a special Newspaper Forum features the Océ JetStream technology. Publishers today benefit from Océ’s unique role in making digital newspapers a reality. Print providers can seize opportunities in short and medium runs, micro-zoning, and personalisation services. Specialised newspaper contract printers can complement offset production with digital technology. Newspaper distributors can optimise logistic systems by putting production close to demand.
The innovative, full-colour Océ JetStream inkjet family pairs with integrated finishing from leading-edge partners to push the boundaries of what digital colour can do for digital newspaper production.
