Océ introduces Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C9000 PRO series to advance colour production possibilities

New system provides perfect-fit colour quality, productivity and versatility backed by proven Océ partnership

Venlo, The Netherlands, 12 October 2010 - Océ, an international leader in digital document management, today announced that it will add the innovative Canon imageRUNNER® ADVANCE C9000 PRO series of digital production colour printers to its expanding cutsheet colour portfolio. After the introduction of the imagePRESS colour series and the imageRUNNER ADVANCE 8000 series, this is the third series of Canon production systems that Océ has offered since joining the Canon global group. The newly combined company, which creates the world’s largest printing equipment company, combines a 130-year Océ heritage of leadership in narrow and wide format printing with the vast technical and financial resources of Canon.

Timely response to customer requirements

The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C9000 PRO series includes two models - the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C9060 PRO and C9070 PRO - which produce 60 and 70 colour impressions per minute and scan up to 200 black & white and 140 colour images per minute. The systems respond to the growing digital production needs of users in in-house printrooms, print-for-pay and commercial printing environments. For added flexibility, imageRUNNER ADVANCE C9000 PRO production colour printers can be configured with Fiery®-based controllers. Two configurations are available: an embedded controller (imagePASS-A1) or an external controller (ColorPASS-GX300) that integrates smoothly into existing workflows and can be easily clustered with other devices.

System can support virtually any job

Print providers can produce a wide range of jobs on a variety of media, including coated, uncoated and special stock with weights from 52 to 300 gm2 (14 lb. bond to 110 lb. index) and sizes to 330.2 mm x 487.7 mm (13 x 19.2 inches). The system can be equipped with a professional punch unit, staple finisher, saddle stitcher with trimmer, post inserter and multi folding unit to support virtually any job that comes through the door – without the time, costs and labour required to support offline desktop finishing devices.

Consistently outstanding image quality

The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C9000 PRO series combines select Canon imagePRESS C7000VP high-volume press technologies with its own advanced technologies. These include  innovative, micro-dispersed pigment toner technology and real time automatic colour calibration to deliver excellent quality colour output. Together with 1,200 x 1,200 dpi resolution and eight-bit depths these technologies produce consistent image quality job after job.

The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C9000 PRO is fully integrated with Océ PRISMA® workflow software, including Océ PRISMAaccess and Océ PRISMAprepare job submission and preparation software. This enables print professionals to harness the full power of their production printers, streamline job submission, acceptance and preparation and make it easier for customers to do business with them.

Robust, flexible paper-handling capabilities with up to 9,300 sheets paper input capacity combine with load-while-run flexibility to keep the system productive.
