E.ON Central Networks

The Océ ColorWave 600 has allowed CN to provide a print solution within the AIM section using an innovative and totally unique Océ technology. But there were one or two things that that technology could do they didn’t expect. Andy Davis goes on to say: "Within E.ON, reducing our environmental impact is one of the six Corporate Responsibilities that are driving our actions. The unique Océ CrystalPoint printing technology is specifically geared up to print onto uncoated bond and unbleached recycled paper. If all colour printers were capable of this there would be a significant reduction in the environmental impact from the coating and bleaching process, so Océ ColorWave became very interesting to us on environmental grounds.

“The huge variety of media that can be printed is one of the main characteristics of the Océ ColorWave 600 printer, and it is also extremely fast”, says Uwe Brackhage, Production Manager of Sparkasse Essen.

A bank operating to high standards is what Focus Money magazine called Sparkasse Essen in a bank comparison test. It also said that the bank was the best financial institution in the Ruhr metropolis. Uwe Brackhage, Production Manager for Sparkasse Essen, is convinced that one reason why his bank has been successful is fast and continuous customer communication. Be it bank statements, flyers or full-colour brochures, everything runs through the printing and dispatch centre, for which Brackhage is responsible. Océ at C1000

“Thanks to the collaboration between Schuitema, Océ and IDP, we can respond to current local events much quicker than before”, says Gerrit Douma of C1000 Supermarkets.

Store owners who are part of a larger organisation will recognise the problem: headquarters sends out promotional material to the branches to promote certain products and special offers. That’s fine. But sometimes local store owners need something extra. To respond to a promotional offer of a local competitor, for instance. Or to take advantage of an event that is only relevant for the local target group. All the store owner can do is hope that the local printshop can help out. Otherwise it’s back to the old marker pen. At least, that’s how it was until now...

Océ at Brewers

"Having invested in the latest wide format technology from Océ, our biggest saving has been in labour, plus we now have much greater production flexibility", says David Relf, I.T. Manager at Brewers.

In recent years Brewers have operated a wide format machine from one of Océ’s major competitors. David Relf explains: “Our previous machine was a high quality product, but like others in the marketplace, the technology was slow. We needed a faster technology, preferably one in which the prints would be sufficiently water-fast for outdoor use. The Océ ColorWave 600 has proved to be significantly faster, and the prints are definitely robust enough for outdoor use. The machine also possesses significant environmental credentials, something to which Brewers is very committed.”
